The safety of heat treatment systems is becoming more and more of a concern for both manufacturers and owners/operators of these systems. New systems must be designed by the manufacturer in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42 / EC, and CE conformity must be declared. For existing systems, the owner/operator must prepare a risk assessment in accordance with the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). In addition, the systems must be checked cyclically. When modernizing systems or changing locations, it is necessary to assess the dangers and risks.
Consultants and consulting companies are available to support you in these tasks. In our experience, however, system safety is a complicated topic, especially in heat treatment systems using protective gases. Quite a few external consultants then have to pass.
Our Mr. Falkowski and our Mr. Baumann have completed a safety training and have been certified by TÜV NORD as CMSE® – Certified Machinery Safety Expert.
We see the combination of knowledge of systems and processes in heat treatment as well as knowledge of safety requirements and safety technology as a very good basis for being a contact person for you in matters of system safety in heat treatment.
